Christmas With the Riehns

December 20, 2012

This year's Christmas celebrations began with a visit from the Riehns.  Rose, Lily and Dale were all so adorable and happy.

The kids opened lots of presents, such as jewelry, costumes and cars.

Monga loved her art from Dale and Rose.

It was a magical day.  We even got a visit from a family of deer in our backyard.

And thanks to Great Aunt Sally, we got to enjoy Josie's spaghetti and antipasto for dinner.

In case you were wondering where Pasha was all day...

Not the most comfortable spot.

Everyone was pretty worn out from a full day of fun, so we settled down with baths and sponge curlers.

It's just so cute!

Giant Smarties and Tiny Elves

December 19, 2012

The arrival of Monga at our house usually means lots of goodies and surprises for the kids.  This time Monga appeared at our house bearing Smarties, Dale's favorite afternoon treat.  But this time, the Smarties were giant sized, making Dale's smile grow bigger and bigger.

Monga also brought with her a magic elf.  Dale got to name our new friend, and he chose the name Pasha.

As soon as Dale knew Pasha was watching, he started acting differently.  Rose got a lot more lovies than usual.

Once we were done staring at Pasha, we got busy making Christmas gifts with paint.  We got good and messy and made some great art.

If you were lucky enough to get a work of art from my kids for Christmas, you should consider yourself touched with a whole lot of love.
